Highball Cocktails--Classic, Bermuda, Cuba Libre and More

A Highball cocktail is really wide open territory when it comes to mixing, so do what you like.  Ours is more toward the classic side. It's basically a tall cocktail that's easy to make with some type of soda to top it off. It's just meant to refresh as the Brits say!

Highball—Shake 1 oz. JABnow Organic Grapefruit Lime, Orange Lemon or Lemon Lime drink mixer (classic), 2 oz. whisky, (classic) vodka, rum, or your favorite spirit, ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with a twist of orange, lemon or even lime peel. Makes 1 cocktail.

We don't add any water in these recipes because the club or other sodas suffices. Ginger beer ads a nice twist too as it usually has a much stronger ginger flavor than ginger ale.

Bermuda Highball--Shake 1 oz. JABnow Organic Lemon Lime drink mixer, 3/4 oz. each gin, brandy and vermouth, and ice.  Pour in highball glass over ice and top with club soda or ginger ale.  Garnish with a lemon twist. Makes 1 cocktail.

Gin & Tonic Highball--Shake 1 oz. JABnow Organic Lemon Lime drink mixer, 2 oz. gin and ice.  Pour in highball glass over ice and top with tonic water.  Garnish with a twist of lime.  Makes 1 cocktail.

Cuba Libre Highball--Shake 1 oz. JABnow Organic Lemon Lime drink mixer, 2 oz. dark or anejo rum, and ice.  Pour in short glass with ice.  Top off with cola.  Garnish with a twist of lime.  Makes 1 cocktail.

Dark & Stormy Highball--Shake 1 oz. JABnow Organic Lemon Lime drink mixer, 2 oz. dark rum and ice.  Pour in tall glass with ice and top off with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime twist.  Makes 1 cocktail.

How to Make a Great Twist with Any Citrus Fruit

Slice off the lime's skin in one peel, then roll it up like a cinnamon roll. Cut about a centimeter apart, untwist, and add to drink. You can do this with lemon, grapefruit and most fruits.
